Reviews with context
Request reviews, approvals, and acknowledgments on the exact document version. Keep the discussion and decision together.

Ask for the right response
Request a review, approval, or acknowledgment of a document. Route assignments in sequence when each person should act in turn, or in parallel when they can respond independently. Each workflow uses one response type across its assignments.
Reviewers open the exact revision beside Approve, Request changes, and Reject actions, or Acknowledge for an acknowledgment request. A revised document invalidates the old review rather than silently treating new content as approved.
See what needs you
My work brings your eligible reviews, approvals, acknowledgments, open tasks, and available signatures into To do. Each row shows the document context, required action, and deadline when one applies.
Waiting on others follows requests and tasks you initiated. Updates brings together your authorized notifications. Counts and results respect permissions, restricted matters, routing, and expiry, so the queue reflects work you can actually act on.
Move from decision to signature
Keep review decisions tied to the source version before requesting signatures. Signing uses the actual document execution workflow, and a signature step completes only after signatures and final files are ready.
On Business, reusable templates can save review defaults alongside roles, fields, and prefill mappings. The next draft starts from that setup while retaining its own recipients, decisions, and signed record.
Questions
Are reviews included on Free?
Review tools are available on Free for the workspace owner. Business adds team access. Owners and administrators can enable Review tools in workspace settings; display preferences do not change document permissions.
What happens if the document changes?
Reviews are bound to the document version and prepared content. Revising the content or changing prefilled details invalidates the earlier review. Review the new copy before treating it as approved for signing.

Keep the discussion close
Add comments, reply in the thread, and resolve a discussion beside the document. Page and version context keep feedback attached to the copy under review, with activity available in the same workspace.
Notifications can arrive in the app or by email according to preferences. A notification records a handoff; it does not count as an approval, acknowledgment, or signature.
