Keep the useful setup
A Contracy template saves a prepared PDF, its signer roles, and the fields placed on its pages. That makes it useful for agreements whose wording and layout repeat, such as an NDA or a standard service agreement.
Start from your own approved document. Contracy's templates are reusable signing setups, rather than a collection of prewritten contract clauses or a legal document generator.
Use roles, then people
Give the template roles names such as Client and Company. When you use it, choose the actual person for each role in the new request. Keeping roles separate from recipients helps avoid carrying yesterday's contact into today's agreement.
Review the recipients, field assignments, signing order, expiry, and message before sending. A reusable starting point still deserves a final check for the agreement in front of you.
A fresh draft each time
Using a template creates a separate draft. It does not reopen or overwrite the signed agreement you sent before. This keeps each request's recipients, status, and completed files tied to the right document.
If the text of the agreement changes, prepare an updated PDF and signing setup for future requests. A template is not a live editor for documents already sent for signature.
Bring the details along
Map prefill fields to client or matter details, then check the values in the new draft. Add review defaults when an agreement needs a decision before signature. The template keeps these choices with its saved version.
Template changes create a new version for future work. Earlier drafts and completed agreements retain the setup they were created with. A ready template can take you from choosing people directly to Review and send, with Fields available when changes are needed.
Share what your team uses
Choose whether a template is private or available to the workspace. Private templates remain accessible to their owner and workspace administrators; shared templates give the workspace a common starting point.

Are templates available on Free?
Reusable templates require Business. You can still prepare and send individual PDFs on the Free plan.
Does deleting a template delete its agreements?
No. Drafts and agreements already created from a template are kept when that template is deleted.
